Haiku by Soin…

Being in this world
Is like a butterfly alighting –
However things may be…

      *

So distant from this scattered world –
The cold evening moon.

      *

But there is a color of loneliness –
the evening rain…

      *

Blown by the wind
a light river mist –
and a barge

      *

Looking up at the big sky,
The plum-tree’s magic fragrance…

      *

“It’s the summer heat,”
she says,
then she breaks down and cries…

      *

The early morning light
has still a little oil –
a hototogisu chirps….

      *

Autumn: –
the picture of Saigyo
in the evening light.

      *

And folk from the village
sweeping o’er it, perchance?
Frost on the bridge…

      *

A single shot goes down
and look!
– the moon…

      *
